2025/2026 Lincolnshire Rural Support Network

Home

President Nigel Bottom has chosen LRSN to be his charity during his term as President of Sandringham Association of Royal Warrant Holders.

Lincolnshire Rural Support Network is a volunteer-led organisation that provides pastoral and practical support to farming and rural communities, its aim is to provide help and support to farmers, farming families and rural communities in times of crisis, stress and change.

Every year LRSN helps over 100 families in need of help with problems ranging from Debt and Tenancy to health problems.

The support network runs a helpline which is open 7 days a week 8am-8pm, and provides casework services, available for home visits or in business visits to discuss emotional, financial and health concerns. From these meetings, its volunteers can help to give support and advice, and signpost those in need of professional help to the relevant organisations.

ABF The Soldiers’ Charity 2023

Fundraising for Lee Dawson’s charity began at his President’s Weekend in Sandhurst. Having enjoyed a guided tour of the Old College within the Academy, coordinated by the Sandhurst Trust, guests heard the moving story from Bob a Royal Engineer veteran who was captured and taken hostage by Al-Qaeda in Yemen. He spent 565 days in captivity before being reunited with his wife, Sallie, and their children. On the famous steps outside Old College guests were entertained by 10 Queens Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment with a traditional Kukri Dance. After the Bugle call for dinner senior guests were piped into dinner formally by the Pipe Major. The after dinner speaker was Maj General Patrick Marriot a former Commandant of the Academy with post Dinner entertainment given by the Corps of Drums of the Royal Logistic Corps.

During the year, members raised £11,500 for the President’s Charity.
